                          Sabarmati ashram was built in 1915 and served as the residence of the father of the nation during the struggle for Indian independence.

<td class="toplink">Dandi march is an important event in the freedom struggle of India.Gandhiji spearheaded the Dandi March, on 12th march 1930 from this palce.It was aimed at revolting against the salt laws imposed by the British government.Sabarmati ashram faces prison on one side and river on other side.<br />
                  Sabarmati ashram houses an office, museum, library, an auditorium and two photo galleries. The museum has a pictorial record and eight life size color oil paintings of his life.Sabarmati ashram is one of the most important tourist attractions of Ahmedabad and till now it has preserved important avecodates, collectibles and letters of that period.
