Sabarmati Ashram-Sabarmati Ashram Occupies a Special Place in the history of Indian National Movement

Situated on the banks of river Sabarmati one of the most beautiful ashram complexes and one of the most important destinations of Ahmedabad is Sabarmati ashram.Sabarmati ashram is considered to be one of the nerve centers of Indian political struggle during the pre independence period. It is also known as the Gandhi ashram or Harijan ashram. Sabarmati ashram was built in 1915 and served as the residence of the father of the nation during the struggle for Indian independence.

Dandi march is an important event in the freedom struggle of India.Gandhiji spearheaded the Dandi March, on 12th march 1930 from this palce.It was aimed at revolting against the salt laws imposed by the British government.Sabarmati ashram faces prison on one side and river on other side. Sabarmati ashram houses an office, museum, library, an auditorium and two photo galleries. The museum has a pictorial record and eight life size color oil paintings of his life.Sabarmati ashram is one of the most important tourist attractions of Ahmedabad and till now it has preserved important avecodates, collectibles and letters of that period.

Summary-Sabarmati ashram is one of the important monuments in Ahmedabad.It draws the attention of tourists from all parts of India.

Many people in the online community are a little more totalitarian. im gonna bookmark ur site Of course– and I probably shouldn’t even have to say this– people are free to run their own blogs as they see fit.
